Ombu restaurant is another place to dine. "Ombu" name came from a tree which originated from Argentina. This restaurant is famous in early 90's and 20's and it was located in driveway of Sequoia Inn along Bangoy Street. Today, Ombu restaurant leveled up and continuously gives the best cuisine in town.

When we arrived, We were accommodated by the crew and gave the menu to select the best food.I noticed that most of the food was filipino cuisine. To get on with our dining, We immediately ordered one half greaseless chicken, Pork Sinigang and Halo Halo.

As we were waiting for our order, I took the chance of taking photos from their wall decorations. The wood works on the ceiling ignited my curiosity and asked myself, what kind of wood is that and why was it made that way.

The pork Sinigang was good as it suits our taste for a real Filipino cuisine. The kind of pork meat they used was of good quality, it even made me eat in rush. It was a hot and sour with added vegetables that made sinigang perfecto!

To complete the meal, we ordered my wife's favorite, the sweet and overloaded halo halo.I've tasted halo halo many times but this one was the best, because of its flavorful creamy, sweet and full packed taste.

OMBU Chicken House is located at The Peak, Gaisano Mall of Davao.
