As a Filipino, when we hear about Andres Bonifacio, it always comes to mind that he was the bravest  and true blooded filipino who fought the Spaniards and founded the “Katastaasang Kagalang-galangang Katipuanan ng mga Anak ng Bayan” (KKK). In Davao City, we honor him as our hero, that is why the City Government of Davao headed by by Jose D. Quitain, Sr. to build a statue and finished at exactly 98th Birthday of Andres Bonifacio.

Today, the statue of Andres Bonifacio along Fr. Selga Street going to Pichon Street or commonly known as Bonifacio Rotunda is considered as the land mark and tourist attraction of the city. It is located right at the heart of Downtown Davao, It is adjacent of Colasas bbq and the new condominium "Magallanes Residences", the newly open Museo Dabawenyo and the important land mark of Davao City, the City Hall of Davao, Sanguniang Panglungsod and the San Pedro cathedral.
