This Barangay has great potential in terms of tourism because of Malagos Garden Resort and Philippine Eagle Center. Calinan is also an agricultural area. Big companies are here like, DOLE Philippines, Davao Ventures Corporation (DAVCO), SUMIFRU Philippines and many more.

In terms of economic activities, Calinan has great improvement because many banks are coming in this area like Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation and Philippine National Bank.
