Quirino Avenue in Davao City is one of the oldest and the most iconic street in the city. The most interesting view in this area is the center island. Planted with bougainvilleas, new railings was recently built for pedestrians' safety. As part of the city's beautification program, the city government of Davao built this barrier to discipline the people and protect the plants as well. The barrier was painted with green at the upper portion to match its color with the plants, while the lower part was painted with yellow as a signal for the drivers that there is barrier at the center island.

This project is supported by Boysen the leading paint company in the Philippines. With the tagline of Davao City: Life is here.

Davao City is blessed because the cleanliness of the streets is maintained and there are still a lot of trees surrounding the metro. The street sweepers are waking up as early as 3am to clean the streets. The implementation of the city's cleanliness is strictly led by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who is very tough in implementing many ordinances in the city.

This is one of the reason why many tourists love the city. Many visitors are claiming that Davao City should be a benchmark of other cities when it comes to cleanliness and orderliness.

In our part, we can help the city's "CLEAN AND GREEN" project by simply disposing our trash properly to designated areas, or if not, just put it in your bags or pockets when trash bins are not visible in the area.

Davao City is a beautiful place to live in. The city became one of the most livable city in Asia. Dabawenyos around the world will always say that no one can compare my beloved city. Davao City: Life is here.
