Once again, Davao City will celebrate Kadayawan festival 2014. Residents and tourist will witness the famous “Indak-Indak sa dalan” that makes the street more lively. Many contingent, inside and outside Davao City will participate the event because of the prizes and also to share their native dance from their different place.

Floral float parade is also one the highlights of the festival showcasing the different design from variety of flowers grown in Davao City. Private and public organization of the city will participate the parade. 

Kadayawan is a celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature, the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and serenity of living. It is also called the  festival of festivals, with a number of spin-off festivals in the region. The festival honors Davao's artistic, cultural and historical heritage, its past personified by the ancestral Lumad people, its people as they celebrate on the streets, and its floral industry as its representatives parade in full regalia in thanksgiving for the blessings granted on the city. A celebration that interfaces the three aspects: tribal; industrial and; arts and entertainment. The festivities are highlighted with floral floats, street-dancing competitions and exhibits that showcases the island's tourism products and services. 

Kadayawan Festival is a-week long celebration which will be held from August 16-17, 2014 with this year's theme "Kalamboan sa Kinaiyahan: Kadayawan sa Katawhan" or Nature's Flourishing: People's Well-being." Davao City will expect more tourists to witness the celebration.
